Hello! my name is Madison Whittle and I am a senior at Western Kentucky University. I am studying Graphic Design, User Experience, and Computer Animation. At WKU, I am involved in Imagewest, a student-based advertising agency on campus, and the WKU Extended Reality Lab, an interdisciplinary research lab that develops virtual, augmented, and mixed reality programs. My creative process involves answering the "who," "why," and "how" before beginning any project. I prefer to put practicality at the forefront of every design, whether that means thinking about where people will see it, how people will use it, etc. Only after this is determined will I begin the creation process.
As of Summer 2022, I am participating in a Multimedia study-away program in London, England. I am enrolled in Exploring Typography and Poster Design in the UK and Exploring British Culture to Create Multimedia Campaigns courses. Additionally, I have received a Lifetime Experience Grant to fund international research pertaining to User Experience in Museums. This research involves testing an app developed by me and my colleagues Murphey Kilgore and Prof. Kara Williams-Glenn. I'm super excited to share my work and experiences on my blog!
