Monday, July 25: Day of Dippy

Monday was probably the worst day I have had on this trip. We moved from St. Giles to LSE Bankside in the early morning. We all had a pretty frustrating morning of trying to transport thirty or so pieces of luggage and then not being able to check in until four. After this debacle, we headed to the Natural History Museum where we stood in line getting absolutely hyped to see Dippy the Dinosaur. We had a late start getting to the museum so once we were in, we headed straight to the king himself. We really didn't get to see much else of the museum. I bought some Dippy merch and soon we were scavenging for the door because it was so packed. The museum isn't very open and with 1000+ people inside, I soon started to feel claustrophobic. We got back to the hotel to have afternoon tea and finally was able to get checked into our rooms. These rooms are much bigger and not so stuffy as the last ones. The workers do have a habit of randomly walking into our rooms without knocking though which is really weird. To finish our awful say we decided to get some classic American food and go to the Hard Rock Cafe. This place had some awesome artifacts such as John Lennon's glasses, Freddie Mercury's microphone, and Amy Winehouse's tank top. It was really awesome to see and I took a million pictures. When we got back, we hung out in each others rooms just like we were back in the dorms and soon went to sleep.

Tuesday, July 26: Pentagram

I got to sleep in an hour more on Tuesday which felt like heaven and got dressed into my business attire for the day. We had class for the day and headed to get ramen for lunch and of course I had to get something on my nice white shirt. I went back to the hotel for a stain stick and was yelled at by a worker for leaving my door unlocked which has become a funny anecdote in our group. We headed over to Pentagram after which is a large graphic design firm. The guy had a 122 slide powerpoint and we all tried to stay engaged as our eyes started to droop from being tired from the day. We were allowed to really see the office because they like to stay private about their projects but he did show us some previous work they had done that was really awesome. Once we left, a group of us sprinted to our dinner reservation at an Italian restaurant that was absolutely mid. This is the day I realized that England really is not known for having good food.

Wednesday, July 27: Chill Day

Sydney and I woke up and got some breakfast from the hotel. Afterward, we went straight back to sleep until almost noon. I feel like we never get to sleep so it was really great to be able to do that. We went to this place called Tossed for lunch that is basically a salad place. It was okay. We had class after that and showed Kara our mood boards that we created for our campaigns. Kyndall and I really just ended up playing pool by the end of class. We all booked our train tickets to Edinburgh for our explore days and started thinking about air bnbs. After class, a bunch of the group left for a play and Sol and I explored the Amazon store and got some dinner. We continued the night by sharing scary stories and researching different true crime stories.

Thursday, July 28: Ghost Tour

Kyndall and I got up and tried out Black Sheep Coffee and then headed our to the Tate Modern. This was the museum that really made me understand why people stop and want to read every sign next to the art. There was a also an interactive part of the museum where you get a sheet of stickers and they tell you to cover the whole room with your stickers. This was really fun but there were a lot of children breaking things here. One kid broke a vase. Another knocked over a pot within the exhibit. Another went behind the rope and pulled on the art. I really don't know where their parents were lol. We ended up getting Shake Shack after because were trying to eat cheap lately and it was super good. Love Shake Shack. Afterward, we went to BrandOpus which I liked a whole lot better than Pentagram. They were really welcoming and even gave us snacks. If I was a graphic designer, I would want to work there. We got dinner at Amazon and headed to the GHOST TOUR!!!!! We had such a great time on this tour. We got to see a real ghost too! (see picture below) I literally don't think I stopped laughing the whole time. It was more of a comedy show on a bus and I loved it. Would recommend. We went to the pub after to get a couple drinks and walked home laughing and being goofy. This was a really great day.
