Shelby Riley is an artist and current Museum Studies graduate student at Indiana University Purdue University- Indianapolis. She is a Western Kentucky University Studio Arts and Art History graduate from spring 21’ and she is interested in repatriation and collection care. While in England, Shelby plans to merge her two-degree fields to create Type Hike-inspired posters based on local museums and artifacts, create a PSA on repatriation in museums based in London, and create digital and physical catalogs of artwork created by her peers while on the trip.
Besides academics, Shelby is an avid traveler; this is her second time in the UK. Her interest in art and museums came from a high school trip in 2015 when she went to London and Pairs for the first time. She is excited to be back and to create and curate with fellow artists.
