The week didn't start the best. Monday we left St.Giles and we were all sad about leaving the heart of London. It was a bit stressful moving from one place to another place. After that, we had afternoon tea and my first time having tea. It was pretty good and we sat with others just enjoying tea. We then went to our rooms and relax for the day. Looking through the new facility and seeing what's around. After, We went to the National History Museum. It was super cool to see what the Earth went through a different lens. Oh, we can not forget the famous Dippy! He's huge and it's crazy to see that his tail was slim to whip his predators. We ended the day going to Hard Rock Cafe. The food was so good and there were many famous wardrobes in the restaurant.
Tuesday was a way better day. We went to see Pentagram and it was the craziest thing ever. The work they had shown us is way beyond what I could think of. It was a bit intimidating to see people create a whole new program just to create art. They also respected each other and valued their strength and expertise. After that, we had a cute dinner at ”The Jam” a restaurant that had bunk beds and Italian food.
Later, in the week we went to explore our neighbor “Tate Modern” and let’s just say it was awesome! We saw Mutt’s Urinal and many more. Exploring that is something I recommend everyone to see. The next day we did see a controversial spray paint protest outside the Tate. Say “Pay Artist” and woah was it cool to see that! A true statement too. We later went to visit BrandOpus and that was great. I felt super comfortable there and how they appreciate print. Being someone who loves print I felt appreciated. That same night we went on a ghost bus tour. It was a bit more funny than scary. It was great to learn of the crazy things that happened in London.
The weekend was definitely an eventful one. We explored the “Tate Britain” and as soon as you walked in you saw this beautiful architecture. Then you walk down the middle and the exhibit there was insane. Also, so large in size and color and a bit creepy. The sculptures seemed to be paper made and had these crazy and colorful outfits. Later, we walked around and enjoyed all the fine artists. Saturday was a work day and we all broke down and worked some but later we traveled to Power Station and it was so beautiful.
We ended off the week going to the V&A and it was great to see these setups of how royals or people of the upper class lived. I find it crazy that they have these things from so long ago. The craziest part of the day is how we got on our train to Edinburgh, Scotland. This was such a long train ride but so worth it. There were a few delays and the saddest one of them all was because two trains ahead of us hit sheep. It was honestly so sad even though the locals thought it was normal. Now that we are in Edinburgh I can say I'm in love with all of United Kingdom.
