Day 14:
We woke up and since we moved our free days we have class today at 10. We went down to the basement, had Natalie’s class, lunch, then Kara’s class. After that we got some Mexican food around the corner and headed to a mini golf bar with Haley, Kyndall, Madison, Abby and Natalie. I tied Kyndall for first place, got two extra drink tickets and had a blast.
Day 15:
We met at 9:20 and headed to the V&A and science museum. A lot of us had to leave for our train at 2:30, so I felt really rushed and wish it had been spread out over two days or something. The science museum was less interactive than I thought it would be. Then we rushed home and grabbed food in the tube on the way. And hurriedly met Natalie in the lobby and headed to the station. On the train I sat next to Kyndall, we napped, I read, and we gossiped. When we got to Edinburg we were starving so we went to the closet McDonald and I scarfed down a Big Mac in seconds. We then walked up a million steps to our Air bnb, picked rooms and went to bed.
Day 16:
I got to sleep in until 10:30. It was great. My bed is so much better here then LSE. Then we went and got breakfast/lunch at a local restaurant. After that we headed to Sainsbury and got food for the next couple of days. My group was in charge of Sgetti night. After unpacking the groceries we headed to the Royal Mile. It was like a constants fair. There were store along the whole strip, street performers everywhere and flags hanging over the road, which was blocked off from cars so we could walk in it. After we got tired we headed home, Kyndall, Shelby and I made dinner for everyone.
Day 17:
We slept in this day too. It was really nice. We headed back to the Royal Mile to get tickets to this underground tour. You see, the city is built on top of the older version of the city. Back in the day the poor lived under ground and he rich lived above. They didn’t have enough tickets for all 7 of us until 10 pm so we had to find something else to do during the day. We went and got lunch at a bar, shopped around a bit and then got gelato. After all that we headed back to the air bnb, did some homework and took a nap before dinner. Sol was in charge of taco/ fajita night. It was delicious. Although I don’t think we thought through the whole 1 bathroom, 9 people thing. After a while of just hanging out we headed to the Underground Tour. Before we got to go, Kyndall got dragged into a street performance (see below). It was really cool. We saw a street and a house, although the house is smaller than my room.
Day 18:
Bad luck all around. We started the day by going to the cemetery behind our place. Turns out it’s the most haunted cemetery in the whole world. After that we checked out luggage into the train station, got lunch at a delicious Italian restaurant, walked around a bit- Kyndall and I got each other tarot cards, and we headed to a big green patch to sit and chill. It goes down hill from there. A bird pooped on me, our train got canceled, we all had to find a place to stay for the night, my wine bottle broke in my bag and got everything wet, my food was cold and I just wanted to cry. It all worked out I guess, we went back to our air bnb ate and did work for the rest of the night.
Day 19:
We woke up, cleaned up the air bnb and headed to the train station. Ours got canceled but the one right before ours had empty seats so we ran and caught it. I worked on my iPad for most of the trip, took a nap and made friends with the kid and mom at our table. We arrived back to London and headed towards food and the place. Then we had class. Our wonderful department head heard about our horrible day prior and she treated us to pizza for dinner. We worked and chilled for the rest of the night.
Day 20/21: We had class from 10-6ish both days. One class in the morning, lunch, then the other class. We’re wrapping up our projects for both classes. Working hard and grinding out final products. Friday night a lot of us and Jerry went to food trucks by the London Eye, and walked around and took in the scene. After we got back some met down in the basement and worked and told scary stories. This is my last blog post for the trip; l would give it a 10/10 and definitely recommend to others for the future. It was a really good experience to have with my friends and class.
