Sydney's Week Two

Day 6:

Last night after class they said we were going on an architectural tour of the local pubs but when we walked it it was a surprise for Kyndall’s birthday this weekend. They had cake and candles and we drank then went to this arcade bar across the street. It was really sweet, Kara and Natalie are really sweet.

Day 7:

We woke up early and headed to the international train station and headed to Canterbury. On the bus we sat next to a nice Belgium family and they thought we were locals. When we got the Canterbury we went to a cute local breakfast place and got food and drinks. Then we explored the town a bit, went on a gondola ride, saw a castle and toured a cathedral. After all that we got Nados for an early dinner- I got their Russian Roulette wings- so all 10 were different flavors and I didn’t know which would be what! How fun! We got on the train and came home- and rested at the hotel before going out to celebrate Kyndall’s birthday and made a hoopla at midnight, then came home and went to bed.

Day 8:

This morning we woke up and went to brunch at Coppa Club. It was so beautiful and right on the water. We reserved an igloo for Kyndall’s bday and had a relaxing lunch with Madison and Haley. Then we shopped around a bit and had a chill afternoon and headed to Peggy Porchen for a tea and dessert. We had a meeting at 5 with KaReN about moving locations tomorrow. Then we got Taco Bell for dinner , came home and did homework and packed.

Day 9: We met in the lobby at 9 and started departing. Half the group left for the location and half stayed with all our stuff. We couldn’t get any cars for a while so it was kind of frustrating and I still had to carry my heavy ass back back and carry-on through the tube anyway. When we got there we found out that we couldn’t even check in until 3! So half the group left for lunch and the half that stayed grabbed lunch around the corner at Leon. Then we had a frustrating time getting to the museum. Because of the struggles getting there we didn’t have that much time to appreciate the museum. Then we struggled back to the hotel and had an English Tea. It was supposed to have little sandwiches and scones and the whole shebang but it was just packaged biscuits and tea. This was a really frustrating day- I wanted to crawl in Natalies lap and cry by the end of it. We finally go in our rooms and were able to breathe. We ran into Shelby and Sol, and Kyndall and Madison and decide to get dinner. This cool place I wanted to go to was reservation only so we made one for the next day but it only took up to 6 people so we’re going to do just us again for that I guess. We ended up going to Hard Rock Cafe. The food was so so so good- I’m not sure if it was because I starving or if it was really that good. I then told them it was Kyndall’s birthday so that we could split the free dessert. It worked :) Then we headed home and went to bed.

Day 10: Natalie’s class wasn’t until 10 today so I got to sleep until 9 and that was lovely. The breakfast at out new location is much better. I had a chocolate chip scone that was delicious. Then we headed to class to share our proposals. Then we went and hung out for a bit, and went to lunch around the corner. The ramen there was good and all but the other placed were much better. Then we went to Pentagram and met with them about their company. After that some of the girls and I had reservations at The Jam, we were late so we ran there and got there out of breath. It’s a restaurant with like bunch bed tables, but since there were 6 of us we had to be on the bottom and that sucked. Also the food was mediocre. Then we got dessert and headed home.

Day 11:

I slept until almost noon. It was great. Then I went to the basement and did some homework then we had Kara’s class at 2. After that me and some of the other went to see the Book of Mormon. It was really funny, but like I’m a crude way. Then we headed home and started planning for our free days.

Day 12:

I hate the beds here. I haven’t gotten a good nights sleep here at LSE. I think my bed is broken because Haley and Kyndall’s aren’t as bad. I woke up grumpy. Then we went to the Tate modern museum. I don’t like museums like that. We got Shake Shack for lunch, and then headed to Brand Opus and I thought it was a lot cooler then Pentagram. It was really cool. After that we got some food and hung out for a bit. Then we went on a Ghost Bus Tour and it wasn’t what I was expecting. It was more funny then scary but I still had a good time. We went to a pub that had some spooky heritage to end the night and headed home.

Day 13:

I woke up groggy again. These beds are so bad. I didn’t eat much and then we headed to the Tate British. It was also weird. But we tried out Madison’s new app and that was cool. Then we headed to Wingstop with some other students. Then we all went home and took a nap. We got dinner and wine around the corner, and went and did homework in the basement.
