Day 1: July 25th, 2022
Monday, the second week, the class moved locations; from St. Giles to LSE Bankside House. I had to ride on in a cab with the group's luggage by myself, which was super awkward on my part. Once we all got there, we checked in our bags and then headed to the Natural History Museum, where the dinosaur Dippy was. I didn’t see the dino, however. I got to see all types of rocks and crystals instead. After the museum, we headed back to the hotel around 2:30 for tea at 3:00. Later that evening, Nick, Anna, and I went to a Gelato place.
Day 2: July 26th, 2022
On this day we had the morning off, and I used it to rest up since we had been doing so much last week and the day before. That afternoon we went to a design agency called Pentagram. It was an interesting place. They have designed many unique designs for different companies including logos, colors, packaging, and technology laid outs. It was all impressive, but I wish it was more than just a presentation. I kept falling asleep during the talking parts since I had moved from my spot in hours.
Day 3: July 27th, 2022
Wednesday is also a work day. I got more solid ideas for both of my projects in the classes I am taking here. I also tried a local coffee shop near our hotel for the first time. The coffee shop is called Black Sheep with some of the best coffee I've had in London. That evening a small group of us went to see the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a comedy Broadway show. I had no prior knowledge about it before seeing the show, and I am so glad I didn't. It made it so much funnier. It was one of the best musical shows that I have seen.
Day 4: July 28th, 2022
Thursday, we went to Tate Modern. This museum is right across from our hotel, so we got to spend as much time as we wanted there since the travel did not take an hour. There were many different artworks on every floor and a couple of very famous pieces there. My favorite attractions were the ones that were neon lights or the ones that were playing on TVs. Yet, the museum was so large, and I'm unsure if I saw everything. I got lost a couple of times trying to find the radio tower. That evening, a small group of us went on a ghost tour. It wasn't as I thought it would be, but still fun. It felt more like a comedy bus show than scary.
Day 5: July 29th, 2022
In the morning, the group when to the other Tate museum, Tate British. Tate British had a massive piece of artwork in the front middle of the whole museum. It was about African history and fashion, I believe, but I didn't read much from the signs for it. I wanted to see Ophelia while we were there, but the area was closed. It was a sad day. After that, we had the day to do whatever we pleased, so Nick, Anna, and I went to the Wellcome Collection. I saw The Garden of Earthly Delights or at least a remade version. It was still a good museum overall. After all the museums, we went back to Camden to hang out before calling it a day.
Day 6: July 30th, 2022
This day was only a work day nothing too much going on here.
Day 7: July 31st, 2022
On the last day before our explore days, we went to the V&A Museum and the Science Museum. All was a lot to take in at first. The V&A had so many artworks and places that I just walked around a took it all in. The Science Museum was my favorite of the two. It had more stuff you could touch and mess with.
