The fonts I chose for this week's type walk came from different things, and this time I looked for types with fun elements than just the typeface. The typefaces you see are from around London. More about this with the images below.
1. Pink “Learn” Graffiti Art
This graffiti style is on over the Southbank skatepark. This sign got my attention because it was still clean. All the other graffiti near had other works covering parts. This photo was taken July 29th in Southbank, London.
2. “SC radlands” Graffiti Art
This "SC radlands" piece is also from the Southbank skatepark. The type was done with metallic spray paint, unlike most other pieces near it. This photo was taken July 30th in Southbank, London.
3. “Amazing Stories" poster
The image above is a poster for the Science Museum. What I liked about this type is not all letters are the same size. The letters move with the illustration on the post. This photo was taken July 31st at the Science Museum in London.
4. Mixed Words Poster
One thing a loved about this typeface in that when you moved, the type itself would change. It was more interactive with its user. This photo was taken July 31st at the Science Museum in London.
5. “Caution Hot” Grill Cheese Sign
I saw this sign while in the Southbank food tents and thought the humor for good and should be in our type walk. This photo was taken on August 6th in Southbank, London.
